Welcome to our world of fun!!!

Who knew parenting and being with little man could be so so fun??? Little Man is just hilarious -- each day he is changing and it is just an incredible blessing to be a part of his emergence into finding himself, and doing all we can to help him feel good about himself. We have had a lot of fun and a lot of learning happening all around!
Things we've learned so far:

1. When sitting down at the mirror to play with wet foam stickies, be sure the dog has had something to drink first --- otherwise, the bowl of water for the foam stickies becomes his bowl of drinking water...
2. When you have an 80 pound lab and a 23 pound boy, the hair will be flying... and in everything -- we've learned Little Man can deal with dog hair in his water foam stickies, on his hands as he crawls all over the floor pretending to be the dog. and his mouth when he goes to tackle the dog mouth wide open...
3. When feeding a little man, you have no worries about cleaning up when you have an 80 pound lab nearby -- who cares that he never ate grapes, mangos, spinach, etc before? Ashton surely doesn't care -- he'll take anything. And, in fact, if we don't watch closely, he'll even take it right off the tray!
4. When working on tolerating car rides, several short trips within a 1 or 2 hour period of time eliminate the screaming bloody murder when putting Little Man in car seat... Apparently, feeding little man lunch and then taking him on a car ride on the highway to meet Aunt Becca, well, we learned that we always need to have a matched set of new, clean clothes; that we SHOULD keep a towel or 5 in the car to wipe down the puke, and that a brand new car seat really can soak in a lot of puke the first time around... Of course, I suggested all we needed to do in this situation was let Ashton loose in the back of the car and we'd have instant clean up....
5. We learned that Little Man is feeling better about leaving the house -- this was his first outing where he didn't have the "index finger in mouth worried look" until, of course, we went to take this picture!! We also learned that he loves his Aunt Becca :) PS: Aunt Becca, you need to have your hand a little more prominent in pictures, if you know what we mean... and, We learned the utter joy and happiness of sharing 2 life dreams within the same 7 days with our great friend Becca! We are so very happy for you!! Gamma has already been informed to plan on a small vacation with us and Little Man for you!! LOL.
6. We have learned that sleeping is still a bear, that if we pace meals and give him something easy to chew as quickly as we can possibly shovel it in, that near the end of the meal, he is more willing to try something new! Today he had 1/4 cup of diced and cooked spinach leafs!! yahoo little man!!
7. We learned that, after about 10 days of screaming like we are pouring poison on him, that suddenly little man prefers scuba diving over screaming in the tub... and boy was it cute!! Kuddos to my man Jeff for doing most of the bathtimes and helping LM over this huge hurdle!!
8. We learned that he knows how to do the gesture "where did it go?" with his hands, and to wave hello when we say it in English... neither one of them have we practiced directly -- but we have done both of those with him consistently and apparently he has just picked them up from watching! Smart little boy!!!
9. We have learned that we have amazing and brilliant friends who love the same dumb movies I do -- Pretty Woman is about the best movie, well, next to a few others which I will not name, as the contest is kind of fun...
   
10. We have learned that one little boy can give us so much happiness it is just astounding to even think about.... and just amazing to think it's only been such a short time...First Visit to the Park!!
