Let it snow ... let it snow... let it snow...

This week we hit our 6 month court date anniversary and I am stunned. At the time that has gone by, much of it a blur (I hear normal for new parenting), but all of it wonderful. And amazing to see our LM just blossom. We decided that it was time for him to see his first snow -- and that there was no better place to do it than Colorado, and no better people to introduce him to the fun white stuff than my dad and brother - both ski and snow buffs all around. My brother flew in from California... and, our dear friends Betsy and Tom were SO SO SO OH SO generous in sharing their condo in keystone... it is a great condo if anyone is interested ..... We also spent Monday night with Betsy, her son Max, and our friend Kim and her bf.... unfortunately i forgot my camera that night, i was too busy catching up!!
Here are some photos from the fun!How does this stuff work? And WHERE on earth are my feet??

Come On Uncle Brian, Make this thing GO!

Solo Sledding! Watch Out Olympic Luge lovers...Doesn't Matter how cold it was. This scene made my heart melt.

My dad and older brother both live far away, and I am so grateful they both were wanting to come hang out! I know LM loves seeing his UB (Uncle Brian) and GDP (Granddad Pete), and we are thankful to my dad's wife who hung w/ their 3 "furry kids" so my dad could be with us all weekend. His 24 week home photos are from the slopes since that is where we were that Sunday! Monday we spent in Denver and spent Monday afternoon and evening in the pool with Max and Betsy -- we missed Anna and Tom, and look forward to seeing them next time!!! It was just awesome to chat up in person and catch up on life with Betsy, and old and dear friend from Cali...Thank you thank you thank you to the Harts for sharing their condo with us to make this weekend possible! We are lucky to have such great friends!

OK, now, this snow is really pretty cool stuff...
We love you so much, beautiful boy...
It is unbelievable to me that we will soon celebrate 6 months together, home, as a family.
Talk about joy of the season...

oooh how much fun!!!! funny enough..Kazazkhstan girl gone beach to Florida played in the snow too...(in the mall, as part of getting pics with Santa) and she was ENCHANTED.
Sean loves snow, and she did too (even better when it's not cold) so I think we may have to venture to Colorado and get Sean a snowboard and Leeza up on ski's!

LM gets cuter and cuter and cuter.

Precious preciousprecious!

Another "first" for all of you. Even with the sniffles, he enjoyed his first snow and sled rides and time with Uncle Brian and GD Pete. It IS hard to believe that it has been 6 months! Days and months and even years before May 20,2009 seemed to drag on forever; not the last 6 months! It has been such fun and pleasure watching his daily progress; getting Hi and bye kisses (and others in between);seeing his bond with you two growing; watching his "firsts"; being part of his life, and seeing you smile like I haven't seen in years. Friends have commented that they love the ear to ear happiness they see when they see you with "A". What a great Holiday season this will be...first T-Giving; first B-Day with us; sharing cousins' BDs; first Christmas...we will all savor every minute. Love, M (aka Gamma)

I am so loving LM's long hair. He looks almost California-ish. I think he's trying to convince you to ditch that east coast and come west. And hey, we have snow here. Yes, you have to drive to the mountains (45 minutes) within the first hour that it snows lest it melt before you get there, but there is still the opportunity for winter wonderland pictures (albeit fleeting). Of course, you could just drive 20 minutes in the other direction and take a few sunny beach pics, too. heh.

The sled picture is so sweet--you just gotta frame that one!

Wow, I so enjoyed the pic of you with LM in the leaves on the last blog entry, but now I love seeing him enjoy the snow with his family! And, omg, is he ever going to be handsome 'cause look at him in that close-up!! Mr. Movie Star! He is just too adorable! Got to get him up here, Amy K.!! Love, AN & UT

What FUN!

LM is just blossoming and taking it all in beautifully. I LOVE the close up picture of him...but oh...I can just imagine a babushka running up to LM and putting a hat, gloves and scarf on him!!!!

Hugs to all,
Laura :)
