Future's so bright...

Future.. Our new president spoke about it so wisely and with hope..
Amazingly, I actually managed to watch about 20 minutes of his speech around doing a ton of work, and it was pretty energizing.
Meanwhile, that being about 10 hours of meanwhile ahead of us, I do believe that our friends in Russia spent the day hopeful of America's next step in the future, and they decided they were going to celebrate and relish in the day.. Perhaps they even had their own inaugural balls over there, just to get jiggy with the idea of a new US president...
And that, now that the hubbub is over, it is time for us all to get down to business. The holidays are over, Pat's visa's are rapidly expiring, and we are all ready to get into a few little metal shells, get ourselves over an ocean, enjoy the luxury of the expansive number of seats in our anticipated very long layovers in frankfurt (anyone who has been there, STOP laughing), and get onto meeting whoever we know is waiting for us on the other end....
The upside is: it's all up from here -- as Richard Gere put it in "an Officer and a Gentleman" -- "we've got no place else to go"... and, thus, as the lead singer of CAKE put it... and Ashton so adorable prepared for...

.... the future is so bright, we have got to wear shades.
